BASIC FACTS

Michael Fuchs

born 3rd September 1986 in Neumarkt i.d.OPf, Germany
I live in a small village called Sengenthal.

My passion is to design different kinds of media and I really like doing a lot of sports.

By the way „Fuchs” means “fox” in English.

WORK EXPERIENCE

I’m Art Director at Die Jäger
one of the top 15 advertising agencies in Germany. “Die Jäger” translates into “The Hunters” – meaning we are hunting for the best ideas.
In 2003, I started my design career at “Die Jäger”. I was in training for three years before graduating as a media designer. Over the years I have obtained more and more professional experience and responsibility to advance to the position as Art Director. To get into the big picture of marketing, I studied communications at a marketing academy to improve my conceptual skills next to my training as a graphic designer.

In 2010, I was drafted and opted out of the German military services. Instead, I did community services at a family recreation centre. I value this time as it gave me a glimpse into a world outside of marketing and advertising.

SKILLS

My strength lie in print; I mainly create brochures, magazines and mailings. Corporate design and publishing is what I do best. But I love working on short animations/films as well. And I am a passionate photographer. Bringing photography and design together in a project is just combining the best of both worlds.

I don’t do design just for it’s good looks. I like to analyse the project from the beginning. Get involved in my projects, look at target group analysis, brand management, media planning etc.
